Tom,
Looks like you’ve paddled a Pungo 140 on many of your trips. I’m considering paddling the Suwannee and other rivers and if you had any thoughts about the boat to share with me. I’ve got a Pungo 120 which I like a lot but thought the 140 would add gear capacity (of course) but also speed.
I’m in Greenville and paddle Jocassee about every week. My favorite lake!

The Pungo 14 has worked great, never had an issue with it – straight and true. Love how things pack (personal stuff in the front hold, utility stuff in the back). Tent either behind seat or across front, sleeping bag/inside tent contents in dry bag just behind cockpit – and where initially I thought the console was junk; I was dead wrong… it works awesome, love it. This vessel has been right for me, had it 6+ years and it remains a favorite. Have a great paddle down the Suwannee Jesse, its a good soul cleansing..

Thanks Holley, to experience the distance is well worth the effort. Take your time with it, be on the water early (by 8a), stop early (enjoy the camp), savor the paddle… Cool thing – the best to you.
